Friendship Club
for those of us who like to be social
Our Friendship Club for Over-55s is a great place to meet up and have fun, whether you already have a wide circle of friends or if you spend far too much time alone.
The Friendship Club, organised by Lilian Fowler, Shirley Baldo and their dedicated band of helpers, is held every other Thursday afternoon.
Members arrive between 1.15pm and 1.45pm, with a bingo session starting at about 2pm, followed by an interval for tea and biscuits before bingo resumes for the second half.
There is also a raffle (all prizes donated by members) before the afternoons end at about 3.45pm.
Once a month from April to September, the Friendship Club enjoy day trips to the seaside and other places of interest. Lilian and the team also organise a Christmas Party on the first Tuesday in December, which is free to all members.
There is an annual membership fee of £1.25p and a fortnightly payment of £1 from each member.
